About us - Mike Black

The Pfeiffer Building has been lovingly and carefully restored by Mike Black, (twice!), once in 1976 and again in 2002.

Mike's familiy history in Napa dates back over 100 years. He owns vineyards in Napa, and has been a vineyard manager for many years. His merlot grapes have become well-known as the grapes Paul Hobbs uses to make his Merlot Napa Valley Michael Black Vineyard. The 1999 was given 90 points by the Wine Spectator.
