2014 Las Bonitas 'The Thinker' Proprietary Red Wine, Napa Valley
Tasting Notes from Proprietor Garret Murphy: "This exciting new blend exhibits a dark purple hue enhanced by the use of Petite Sirah and Malbec with tiers of ripe cherries, fleshy plums, blackberry and blueberry fruit, with a nice spice box of dried sage, cloves, cinnamon and cedary notes. This well-structured wine has beautifully integrated, firm and fine grain tannins which gives this wine a velvety mouth-feel with a complex and lingering finish."
Vineyard: The Cabernet Sauvignon came mostly from two small vineyard sources, Carpignano and Frog Tree, in the Coombsville region just east of the town of Napa. The remaining varietals were picked from various location in Coombsville, this AVA is known for a long and gentle growing season given its location in the Southern part of the Napa Valley.
