Tela Wines Story
The name TELA is Latin and means Canvas or Painting (“Toile” in French). The painting featured on the front label was created by Napa Valley artist Annie Bouthillette Mercier. Each of Tela's vintages illustrate a different painting from Annie, featuring enjoyable wine drinking moments. The originals are on loan at the Vintner's Collective tasting room.
Tela Wines, is a very small wine venture started by Eric B. Mercier, who moved to California from his native Québec back in 1991. Tela Wines makes a flagship Cabernet Sauvignon with fruit sourced from throughout the Napa Valley and is made available exclusively through Vintner's Collective, with just 150-200 cases being produced each vintage by talented winemaker Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueño Winery.
