2014 Entre Nous Sauvignon Blanc, Oakville
Our shady three-acre riverside block of Sauvignon Blanc produces fruit with clean, crisp minerality and brisk acidity. We harvest at night and ferment in cement eggs—a modern twist on a time-honored method—to preserve this coveted natural freshness and maintain fruit aromas. An additional eighteen months of barrel and bottle aging add layers of complexity and a lush, yet crisp mouthfeel. Fascinating in its youth, our Sauvignon Blanc will continue to evolve and enchant with cellaring.
Aromatic citrus notes of lime and lemon peel mingle with a hint of tropical fruit on the nose. In the mouth, the wine is crisp, floral and acid-driven with whispers of new oak and freshly torn kaffir lime leaves. Grapefruit and orange zest lend a slight sweetness that extends through a lingering finish. This wine is drinking well now and will continue to evolve with time.
