The Destino Napa Valley Chardonnay has a creamy, melon/honeydew, apricot, butterscotch, opulent texture, and broad flavors with nice length. Our Napa Chardonnay comes from two sites. Trio-C vineyard located in the southern end of the Napa Valley near the town of Yountville. Its soils are made up of a sandy clay loam of moderate depth. The vines are well cared for with an upright vertical trellis allowing partial sun exposure, ensuring ripeness and good air circulation. The second vineyard is Green Island. This is located at the far southern end of Napa Valley, between American Canyon and Carneros. It is actually closer to the cool influence of San Pablo bay than Carneros. These grapes are from a Robert Young clone selection and have a bright, long flavor profile.
