The Las Bonitas 2006 "Brown Label" Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon (Clone 191 and mostly Clay Soil) from Coombsville and 24% Syrah (Estrella River Clone and Volcanic Soil) from the old Perry Vineyards.
Tasting Notes from Winemaker Ken Bernards: "With a bouquet reminiscent of wild berries, fresh anise blossoms and lots of nuance, the palate is a medley of blackberries, wild strawberries and currant with a hint of dark coffee beans. The ripeness of the Syrah is making this wine really approachable now, while the more complex and austere Cabernet Sauvignon will lend itself to graceful aging."
