The Unti Vineyard is quietly emerging as one of the best in California or anywhere for that matter. The vineyard is located in Dry Creek Valley just northwest of Healdsburg, California. George Unti and his family are passionate about growing great wine grapes and their enthusiasm shows in the quality of wines coming out of this wonderful vineyard. George relies on traditional farming techniques while incorporating the latest technology and innovations. His experimentation with new clones and high density planting continues to yield impressive results. The Olson Ogden team feels fortunate to work with the Unti family and are continually impressed with the dedication and passion with which they farm. Their efforts are borne out in the bottle.
Tasting notes from Partner & Winemaker Tim Olson: "The color is a deep black cherry. In the nose there are hints of spice, leather, violets, pepper and a touch of smoke. This wine is full bodied with excellent balance, great structure and firm tannins. There is great complexity and layers of flavor followed by a long, lingering finish."
