The harvest in 2006 reminded me of 1996, a very classic californian style; we harvested most of the cabernets mid October; which is average date for Napa Valley. The flavors express ripeness and intensity with blackberries being dominant. The mouth feel is just the perfect harmony of what we worked on during our numerous sessions of blending, a combination of approachability with lush and sweet characters and longevity with dark toast, black cherry, truffles, coconut and finishing with super fine grained tannins and lively fruit.....Philippe Melka, Winemaker
The 2006 Parallel is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. The fruit sources underlying this wonderful wine are from vineyards in St Helena, benches adjacent to lower Howell Mountain, Coombsville, and the upper elevations of Conn Valley.
