Longfellow's 2003 Dry Creek Valley Syrah is gorgeously characterized by deep intensity, concentration, and soul-satisfying earthiness. Longfellow continues to harvest their syrah grapes from the acclaimed Unti Vineyard, located in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County, right outside the town of Healdsburg.
Tasting notes from Winemaker Rolando Herrera: “Teeth-staining purple color and deep concentration lead to Shiraz-like aromas of menthol, anise, and a hint of white pepper. Plush dark cherry fruit and rich earthy flavors finish with a touch of game, coffee, and sweet oak. Mouth-coating tannins lend elegance and richness through its long and generous finish.”
