The 2006 Tela Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petite Syrah. The grapes were harvested from vineyards all located in the South Eastern part of the city of Napa (100% Napa Valley), and picked in October 2006. The 2006 harvest benefited from the generosity of the Napa Valley. The vintage offers elegance and nice tannins, good richness and a sound structure. Aged 20 month is 100% French oak barrels (50% new).
Tasting Notes from Winemaker Rolando Herrera: We observe nice aromas of cherries and boysenberries both in the nose and in the month, with hints of chocolate in the back ground. Smooth tannins accompany the nice, long finish. A full bodied, not overly ripe but well balanced wine supported by suitably integrated oak.
