The 2006 Parallel Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. The fruit sources underlying this wonderful wine are from vineyards in St. Helena, benches adjacent to lower Howell Mountain, Coombsville, and the upper elevations of Conn Valley.
Tasting notes from Winemaker Philippe Melka: "The flavors express ripeness and intensity with blackberries being dominant. The mouthfeel is just the perfect harmony of what Parallel worked on during our numerous sessions of blending: a combination of approachability with lush and sweet characters and longevity with dark toast, black cherry, truffles, coconut and finishing with super fine-grained tannins and lively fruit."
