The Showket Vineyards Asante sana is a wine that makes you dream. It's exotic, mysterious, and provocative... wild, and maybe even a little dangerous. The name is inspired by Dorothy Showket's travels in Kenya.
82% Sangiovese blended with 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, all of which is estate grown on the hillsides of Oakville. In the glass this wine exhibits a ruby red hue with smoky aromas of roasted coffee, cacao bean and a hint of freshly cut straw. In the mouth flavors of freshly steeped tea, macerated strawberry and a mélange of spiced black cherry and oaky vanilla detonate on the palate. They say Asante sana is Swahili for “Thank you very much” we think it might be Swahili for “Sexy Juice".
