Forever in the pursuit of the best fruit sources, the 2004 Longfellow Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of two vineyards in the Coombsville area of Napa proper: Carpignano and Frog Tree. In the Coombsville area of the Napa Valley the growing season is long and gentle resulting in wines with both wonderful cellaring potential with great depth and elegant structure, and wines that are approachable when young because of the plush, ripe fruit.
Tasting Notes from Winemaker Rolando Herrera: "Vivid indigo color and aromas of ripe red fruit, mint, and fresh leaf tobacco lead to a blast of black cherry and espresso soaked plums. Already mature beyond its youth, this wine displays mouth coating tannins that lend the richness and structure to age this wine for a decade or more."
