This is a lush, fruit-forward wine, with a wonderful earthiness. -----The Longfellow Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from two "Coombsville" vineyards. While wines from Coombsville have wonderful cellaring potential and great depth and elegant structure, the plush, ripe fruit yields wines that are very approachable when young. Longfellow uses a combination of French and American oak, the majority of it new, providing a solid tannic structure and backbone for aging, but also different layers of aromas and flavors.
