Sometimes a wine comes along that is so good that the excitement becomes infectious. That is how all of us Vintner's Collective & Clark-Claudon feel about the 2009 Wild Iris Sauvignon Blanc. We seriously can’t wait to share it!
Crafted by new winemaker Frederic Delivert, the ‘09 Wild Iris is absolutely the stand out in five vintages of Sauvignon Blanc from Clark-Claudon. Past vintages of Wild Iris have graced the table of governors and Hollywood stars. It has been poured at famous restaurants in the US, Hong Kong and Canada. Yet now; with its gorgeous aromatics, textured yet crisp mouth feel and lusciously long finish, the 2009 Wild Iris will take you to a whole new level of pleasure.
Tasting notes from Proprietor Laurie Claudon-Clark: "The aromas in this wine literally fill the room; exotic passion fruit, subtle citrus blossoms, ripe mangos and delicate rose petals with hints of cantaloupe, green apple and vanilla. On the palate the rich texture and bright acidity is perfectly balanced; giving a round, creamy, yet refreshing mouth feel. The very long finish is as beautiful as the start with fruit packed intensity."
