This flashy and gorgeous wine is characterized by its plush fruit and soul-satisfying earthiness. A tougher growing season in 2005 eventually produced some warm-to-hot days close to harvest and allowed the fruit the ripen gently. Despite some rain in early October, the grapes came in at optimal brix levels.
