***THIS IS AN ETCHED IMPERIAL-SIZED (6L) BOTTLE***
The Clark-Claudon 2003 vintage showcases the estate vineyard, the combined grape growing expertise of Tom & Josh Clark and the emphasis on excellence with consulting winemaker Gary Brookman (Grace Family, Miner, Brookman). Experience and expertise were both needed in 2003 as Mother Nature gave the Napa Valley a year to remember. With early rains and late heat spikes those who knew when to be patient and when to act were the winners. Clark-Claudon should be counted as a winner.
This estate wine represents much more than ten vintages of wine making. It represents 32 years of hard work, laughter, dreams, and heart. The site is cherished; a place on that age old thread of history where family winemaking goes way back in time.
Tasting notes from Proprietor Laurie Claudon:
"This beautifully rich Cabernet has grace, power and sophistication. Its deep garnet depth will catch your attention while the complex layers of ripe black fruit, spicy cedar, violets & minerality will keep it. With hints of truffle oil, a slight meaty edge and perfect balance this full bodied elegant wine exhibits both power and finesse from its generous mouth feel to its long delicious finish. Our 2003 celebrates what a mountainside vineyard in its prime can produce. A classically structured, beautiful Cabernet with vibrant acidity and seamless tannins."
