***THIS IS AN ETCHED IMPERIAL-SIZED (6L) BOTTLE***
At Clark~Claudon Vineyards, Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon is artistically crafted by the vineyards, the seasons, and a labor of love. Family owned and operated, Clark~Claudon strives to produce a limited amount of exceptional wine. Further belief that its estate wine is largely produced in the vineyard, the "terroir", viticultural practices and growing season defines Clark~Claudon's wines such that each vintage is in fact that season in a bottle. Rather than follow a formula, they use vinification practices that showcase what each harvest has to offer. The wine is aged for two years in medium toast French Oak barrels and then allowed to rest for a year in the bottle before release.
Each etched and hand-dipped large format bottle is designed to fill your senses and bring joy to the moment. We hope Clark~Claudon's passion for Estate-Grown Cabernet Sauvignon is contagious!
Tasting Notes from Winemaker Gary Brookman: "The 2004 Estate bottling is a pure varietal expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. A compelling mixture of cassis, violet and cherry dominate the aromas while 24 months of aging in French oak imparts a fine-grained texture and lingering chocolate finish. The hallmark of this vintage is an elegant, silky texture that is imparted from mature vines and gentle handling in the cellar. At the table, enjoy this wine with richly flavored beef dishes, lamb, earthy wild mushrooms and savory cheese."
