Le Châtelet Vineyard could have been called “back to the roots”. Located just five minutes from downtown Saint-Émilion, next to Beausejour Becot, this blend is made from selected blocks of cabernet franc and merlot planted in limestone and clay soils.
The second vintage from this wonderful vineyard; this full-bodied wine is a wonderful expression of this great terroir which expresses finesse and complexity. After an extreme selection process, the perfect balance between cabernet franc and merlot has been reached.
Tasting notes from winemaker and proprietor Philippe Melka: “The refined aromatics of black fruits, cassis and graphite are seductive and inviting.
