The Black Sears Vineyard is known for great complexity and intensity. This is the highest vineyard on Howell Mountain, over 2,400 ft. This is a wonderful vineyard in a beautiful place, and it shows in the wines. Duane has been getting fruit from same rows of Black Sears Vineyard since D-Cubed Cellars' inception in 1994.

Tasting notes from Duane David Dappen (D-Cubed): "The 2007 Black Sears Zinfandel has blackberry, and white pepper aromas with hints of truffles. Intensity and richness abound. This wine has wonderful texture and flavors of blackberries, strawberries and spice. The flavors and body carry on in your mouth with fruit and pepper."
