Beautiful deep ruby color. The nose exhibits wonderful berry and cassis-like fruit spiced up with layers of sweet toasty oak. Good ripeness once again from this hillside vineyard above Oakville. The wine is quite lush and very soft in the mouth with tannins that are almost imperceptible. This will be a wine that is approachable earlier than usual. The structure is good and it will age well, but perhaps better to be enjoyed younger with the attractive fruit that is showing now. Heidi Barrett, Winemaker
